More Help With Dice, Please
1. Every time I power up the radio or restart the car, the system sets my ipod to shuffle and also to repeat. Is this normal? 2. I am unable to see song names on my display - what I see is tr-01, etc. How do I get the song & playlist names to show? 3. There is a whine in the background that changes pitch with engine speed. I assume there is some sort of filter that would need to be installed - what would I use and where would it connect? Thanks in advance. |

3. based on their website, that small filter should work. this is an answer I got from Tom regarding that filter setup. the GLI will tap into the brown wire of the DICE harness with the red going towards the battery side and the blue going towards the DICE module. I took out my dice silverline and put Intravee II, I'm really happy with it, no engine noise and full access your ipod via Nav screen with Nav button. |

1. Did you push "1" on nav screen? This should happen unless you are on no.6.
2. Make sure the position of those 2 poles on the DICE module is set to OFF, and then go to your NAV and press 6, scroll to track 6 and you should have the text display. I don't have silverline i have the regular DICE but i assume it would be the same, but Tom, you are free to correct me. I have an 01 X5 4.4, and my text displays on my cluster and i love it that way instead of the nav screen since i always have the map displayed all the time on there. |

Some BMWs are more sensitive to engine noise than others. Here is a link to the version we offer on the website: 12 Amp Power Noise Filter http://www.europeanautosource.com/pr...roducts_id=309 Let me know if you have any further questions.

I have a 30G ipod, firmware is version 1.3, which is the current version. I'll have to pull the module to post the ser no but I just received the module Friday from DICE to replace one that was bad out of the box.
I have Sirius so the wiring comes from the Sirius module and I routed the cables per the instrux from BSW, placing the module under the Drivers' seat. The Ipod caple is routed through the bottom of the centr console compartment. Is there any particular place in that routing that is known to cause interference? Thanks. |

You also have to confirm your battery is good, your alternator is good etc. If you have a bad/dieing battery and the alternator is trying to charge it up you can introduce noise. That is just one possibility and there are many others. Let us know how the noise issues goes with the new box.
