Flip Out 7" in the top DIN of the business stereo, can it be done?

I have only seen few pictures, but there has been some stereo installs that had the factory radio left in place (with power) and an in dash flip out screen installed above. It looks very stealth and uses the original wood grain hinged cover as a removeable cap to hide the new stereo.

Anyone have any information on this in regards to how to keep both hooked up and what was used for a dash kit, etc....

Much appreciated.
