Too many questions concerning how the OBC would react to major surgery I keep getting the impression I can't get there from here

I would rather go the OEM way rather than perform a major surgury myself. But that Azentek Atlas CPC-1000 is pretty serious! I just DO NOT like that it uses vista... I have grown away from microsoft and all of its resourse hogging, unstable, crash prone, virus ridden software... could you imagine if your cars radio wouldn't work because it got a virus, or windows froze up/bluescreened on you? (although I would get a good laugh looking for the control, alt, delete buttons!)
