Sirius mounting above MK4 unit?

Folks, I am looking to re-mount my Sirius receiver on top of the MK4 unit. The space is there, so why not?

I've poked around the forums but cant find anything about it. Has anyone done so and what bracket did you use?

I have the MK4 unit and the CD Changer below it

Thanks

Gene

I would just use zip-ties or some velcro. The brackets will just be expensive from BMW and it simply is not needed

Will save you time and money!

I think the velcro works well to secure the units. I just installed the sirius direct w velcro on top of the nav unit and the DICE with velcro on top of the sirius unit. Sounds good.

I'll move the DICE to the front of the vehicle if I get the 2point5 spec.dock later on.

Does anyone know if the DICE will display the songs from the ipod on the NAV vs displaying the on the dashboard. I'm ok with that display, just wondering.

You can do either or. They both can be made to work

In your DICE owners manual there is a section about text display and what the unit needs to be set to for text on the NAV or the bottom of the instrument cluster.

Glad the velcro works. That is what we use 98.5% of the time.
