I have a 2004 X5 with a Business CD DSP version and no cd changer installed. I tried to install a Phatbox with no success. I have all of the Phatbox equipment including the Blitzsafe unit and the digital cable. I tried connecting everything and nothing happened. It is as if no power is going to the Phatbox at all. I took my cd changer from my 2002 330Ci to test it and it would not work. I accidentally touched a body part with the changer while connected and it blew the fuse on the changer and it also blew the fuse for "Navigation" in the area above the subwoofer. This is weird. Am I connecting to the correct plug? I found a 3 pin plug and a digital cable wrapped together under the plastic piece between the spare tire and the DSP unit. Is there another changer cable I'm missing? Is the cd changer cable and the navigation cable one in the same or are there different cables? Why would the Navigation fuse blow?
