CD changer - no sound

I have a 2004 X5 4.4i with Business cd DSP. I found the cd changer connectors in the back next to the amp. One is a 3 pin power cable and the other is a 6 pin cable. I've tried to connect a BMW changer that works fine in my other BMW 330Ci. The radio recognizes the changer and the cd's play but there is no sound. Any ideas why?

May be Digital DSP. Do you see a DSP button next to the clock button on your radio?

DSP

Yes it is DSP, but I understood that BMW quit using the digital interface for the changer connections before 2004. Am I wrong? I found a 3 pin connector and a 6 pin analog connector bundled together in the trunk.

wish it was as concrete as that, we've found Digital DSP connections in late model 05s before.

Likely, you have Digital DSP and the coaxial cable is needed.
