Completed my DICE install this weekend - wow, easy!

This past weekend I installed the DICE silverline iPOD module in my X5 and all I can say is it couldn't have been more simple to install! I held off for a year because I just didn't want to mess with it, but after repeatedly finding myself sick of the same 6 CDs in the back (and never seeming to remember to change them), I finally decided to do it. $144 bucks later the DICE was sitting in my kitchen waiting to be installed.

My X5 has a 6-pin, 3-pin AND coaxial cable in the back, so I just played the CD and unplugged the coaxial to see if the playback stopped. It didn't, which means my DSP is analog, so the coaxial wasn't even needed! In other words, I didn't need the DSP module for my DICE to function.

Install took about two hours, only because I took my time when removing the interior pieces and re-installing them.

I love having 18K songs at my disposal as I drive! B-bye radio...you're history!! No more annoying commercials. Now I listen to what I want, when I want, as often as I want...as long as my wife ain't around.

For anyone thinking about doing it, go for it! It's so easy it's ridiculous!

It is exactly what I am thinking about these days, after having learnt by heart the lyrics on my 6 CDs in the changer...

You sound encouraging, but I wish I could have some nice DIY with pictures showing how to run the cable from the trunk and into the front of the car. It still seems like a frightening big job to me

Installed Dice Today

I am mechanically challenged - at best, and I installed this in about 1 hour on my 2005 X5. Took my laptop out to the garage and watched the bsw DYI video each setp of the way. Super easy.
