What else do I need to get these OEM headrest monitors to work?

Besides the video source (DVD player, video ipod etc)...

This pair of headrests is available... No wiring except what you see here...

What else would I need to connect to my video source?

Thx!
Steve

In short, a lot. You'd need the entire electronics kit and still some parts from the headrest kit. Check the BMW USA accessories website and you'll see.

this kit is a few years old though... I think the new kit is different...

I imagine I'd need a control unit of some sorts, and the wireless headphones...

Can you even buy just the control unit?

It may be old, but it hasn't changed at all as far as I know. I'm not sure what you mean by just the control unit. The electronics kit contains a dozen different parts needed for the installation (cables, brackets, screws, tape, wiring harness, etc) not to mention the DVD player itself and the trim that goes along with it. Like I said, at the very least you'd have to buy that entire kit and then figure out what you are missing from the headrest kit and, providing they have individual part numbers, buy those missing parts if they will sell them separately ... which is no guarantee. I once wanted to buy a switch that was only present in a $1000+ kit and they couldn't sell it to me.

$200 and you appear to have everything you need - looks like a good deal to me. Match up the headrests with this set that has one bad one and you should be set.
