Audio DSP feature

My audio system does not have the DSP (Digital Sound Processor) but only bass/treeble regulation.
Because of all the electronics stuffed inthe systme, I was wondering if it is possible to make an upgrade (via software I hope) in order to get the DSP.
This crazy idea just because I see that everything appears on the display (I have a 16:9 dashboard tilt monitor) so in must be a software issue...am I right or not?
Thx Thx

DSP is a whole new amp, speakers and audio harness, plus vehicle coding. Don't believe it's an easy retrofit - possibly harder than a Nav retrofit. BMW have a retrofit kit and path for Nav, but I have never heard of an official solution for DSP.

+1: A few folks have retrofitted DSP, but it is a lot of work. And, the coding is more challenging too.
