Round to Flat pin adapter DIY for Business CD
In some cases DSP is part of the setup and sometimes it is not. When no DSP it seems like the pinout is pretty straight forward and it is been documented in other forums. When you have DSP the round pin connector does not have any wires on the output "ground" pins (8, 11,12, 14). I bought my CD53 with the female connector including a few inches of wiring attached. So, I decided that I can do my own connections but I got NO SOUND. I am not sure what the oem round to flat adapter would do about this but some users claimed that this is all they had to do. I was planning to get the round female connector from installer.com or cut the harness and connect the wires the flat connector came with but I don't know how. I checked a few bmw forums and I haven't found a DIY for this harness. Any help will be appreciated.
