X5 Nav witih cassette?

I noticed that the Nav on the X5 only has casette. I also noticed that on Ebay there is a unit that looks like the one on the X5 that has a CD rather than a casette. Has anyone been able to get a NAV into the X5 that has CD rather than casette?

If you can, please post the link to the eBay auction you are referencing. I am betting that it is for a nav screen for the e46 (3 series), which does not fit the X5

Do you have the link to that auction? Chances are that it won't fit the X5. I asked the stealer about that and they said that because of the way the X5 is designed, the nav w/CD is too long to fit into the X5. I think they mentioned that the M3 is the only one that has nav w/CD, but don't quote me on that.

Apologies guys,
Here is the Ebay Item Number:
5824498411

It does say that it is an E46. Too bad it doesn't fit in the X5...

Of course, the other approach is to get one of these:

My '06 X5 arrives on 11/20. Can't wait!

If you have an Ipod, get a IceLink and you'll forget all about why the X5 doesn't have a CD Player up front.

Just went over to read some of the threads on the ice-link.
Sorry for the dumb question, but if one has an '06 X5 with the premium sound plus Nav plus bluetooth, is there a particular version to get?

Thanks...

Do you have a CD Changer installed as well?

Nope. I decided against the CD changer hoping that I'd be able to find an alternative based on a hard disk.
