BSW STage 1 E70 - No Subwoofer ?

Any reason why the Stage 1 E70 upgrade does not include the 2 subwoofers under the seats... ? Isn't the idea of Stage 1 to replace all the speakers ? Almost ordered and then read the * that appears on the site... Caveat Emptor.

We are still working on the X5 package and getting each fitment set in stone. It is a 'pre-order' at this point for the E70.

With that said none of our Stage 1 packages replace undeseat subwoofers or include replacements for the subwoofers. There are 2 reasons for this. The first is the underseat 'subs' are nothing more than high excursion midbass drivers. Replacing this with a dedicated subwoofer will hurt the system and remove a lot of the factory midbass. The other largest speaker is a 4" driver in the doors.

The 2nd reason is many customers simply do not want any additional bass added to the vehicle. We always keep subwoofer upgrades separate for this reason.

Let me know if you have ANY other questions!

Hi one other question . I have the Hi-Fi option in my vehicle which has the two speakers in each doorr as well as a tweeter and midrange in the centre dash, the Hi-Fi option you are offering on your site only replaces the door speakers i.e 8 total ?

The X5 package is a 'place holder' and is not finalized. BMW changed some speaker options between the X5 and other models. Before it is released we will have an exact setup for each.

So you are accepting pre-orders but the inclusions are not defined.. how does that work ? Sorry but your response is a bizarre way considering you want capital to fund an unknown product ! is this a case of Caveat Emptor ? btw the E70 was released in 2007... it's not mystery ?
