Ice>Link Display on Nav?

So I took my spankin' new Ice>Link and Nano out to install in my wife's '03 non-DSP w/ Nav and I've got some observations and questions.

First off, on the matter of sound quality, keep in mind that this is still a stock system w/o the sub, but so far it sounds excellent. In my own car I've been using a Monster Cable fm transmitter (which might be great in many other parts of the country, but in the SF Bay Area I found about three frequencies that didn't have anything being broadcast, and one sometimes picks something up.) I ended up cutting the power wire to the antennae to help.

Back to the install. After a quick hook-up with not yet hiding the wire, I settled down to program it. I'd updated the iPods (mine's a mini) and iTunes (just in case), but had some difficulty with the Ice>Link programming. Most of it relates to my unfamiliarity with the Nav system, so please let me know if I'm set up correctly.

At this point I've got the song tags on the Nav screen, but they only show on the left half and often don't contain the entire artist or song name until they scroll. Also, only the song name and artist are displayed on the Nav while the play list number is shown on the dash. The "Warning, don't drive while looking at your iPod you idiot" message only shows on the Nav screen as "Warning", but shows in full on the iPod. The song title/artist/album info still show on the iPod. Does this sound correct? I'd like to have more space to display the tags, and for some reason I thought the iPod wouldn't show the tags anymore.

Finally, why does the Nav display always revert to the menu once I've made any adjustments that aren't the volume/play list/next track sorts of things? I push the info and mode keys and the song display only last for a few moments before switching back to the menu. Why?

Any input would be appreciated.

Yes, that's the way it works.

Push the button that looks like a couple of interlocking squares and it will stay on the radio screen. Hit it again and it will return to the map (or menu)
