Rear Entertainment Remote

Just picked up a 35d with rear entertainment system and I'm having trouble with the rear entertainment remote. The remote it came with didn't work, so the dealer ordered a new on based on my VIN still no luck. Is there any "trick" to pairing the remote or getting it to work?

Thanks for any help.

did you ever get a response to this? reason I ask: is the remote not working on both monitors? if you have the same remote as the x3 RSE there is an infared sensor in the top right corner of the lcd. If its bent disconnected or the little clear piece is missing this can cause the remote not to send the signal to the monitors. stupid question has anyone tried a universal remote in there x5.

Nobody has called me about the remote however you do have to push DVD -A- or DVD -B- to program the remotes to work on the corresponding monitor.

THX!
