playstation problems..

i have my ps2 installed in my x5, going to my in dash dvd player... there is some kind of interferance displaying when it is on though... i am not sure if it is because i dont have a good enough ground or not enough power or what... i dont want to start tearing into it without any ideas for a resolution.... thanks...greg
