Some suggestions were made by Weasel above but there are many others depending how crazy you want to get with accesorizing your car. some simpler uses are putting an audio switching box by splitting your CDC audio line and adding an external audio source.
Some have external video input boxes that require a toggle switch inorder to flip the video source, this can replace the switch itself. I'm actually making a unit right now for someone that will be using it to turn his radar detector on/off and also to mute it. For those that have thought about putting a "Start Engine" push button starter, I can program a few buttons that should be pushed and the car will start (you obviously have to do the rest of the ignition wiring). There was a suggestion for passenger seat ejector as well LOL
