IceLink Plus problems
My 2003 3.0D has an Icelink Plus connected via the CD changer harness in the back of the car. It has recently stopped working properly with no access via the standard head unit. You can connect an iPod (4th gen 80gig) and it charges and if you press play on the iPod itself there is sound coming out, but you have no control over playlist/tracks etc via the head unit and there is no track listing on the head unit display. The iPod screen shows no info regarding the Icelink Plus version etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers |

Have you tried pulling the battery to reset it? I have heard tale of complicated reset procedures detailed in the manual.

Dear BB, what do you mean by pulling the battery? Come to think of it the problem occurred about the time the battery started failing (it's been replaced since)

I mean unplug the vehicle ground, smoke a tab, and reconnect, whilst also following the instructions for powering up a DICE very carefully from the manual.

Well fixed the problem!! I just unplugged both connectors to the Ice Link and reconnected -
now works perfectly. Now the wife can stop busting my balls!! |
