Upgrading 2009 X6 Premium audio

Been tinkering around with my X6 audio system looking to do a couple upgrades. My current system is the premium audio system offered in the X6. I was first looking at adding a subwoofer, found the factory sub wires and tapped in. The first problem, the system auto-attenuates the sub channel when you turn the volume up. This is not speed or cabin noise dependent, but volume level related. Great feature so you don't damage the factory wimpy sub, but awful if your looking for good bottom end.

Second, I would like to do a more extensive system utilizing better speakers and amplifiers with the factory front end.

Are there any adaptors or interfaces that connect into the buss than leave all the factory communication in place and gives you an un-manipulated audio output? Are there any hacks or tweaks that can be performed to the stock software to eliminate the tuning/eq? If so I can use a Rockford 360.2 to set the system up. Any help appreciated.
