Media connections; Not Iphone... What about the Android...?

I simply couldn't wait for Verizon's Iphone, so I bought an Android phone (Droid X) and absolutely love it. It seems that DICE caters to Iphone, Ipad, Ipods.... but what about the Androids?

My sled is a 2002 4.6is with factory nav, DSP and a factory phone setup integrated into the console for some out-of-date, non-smartphone...

My Droid X has Pandora Radio... who needs to pay for XM/Sirus anymore?

I would like to add bluetooth for hands-free calling or perhaps there is a way to integrate the Droid X into the BMW's system, using the car's speakers and mike to support Android functions though the Nav display... any suggestions?

What is compatible? ....Media Bridge?....Isimple?

You would have thought with the millions of android phones sold someone would have come up with an interface for it.

I have been looking for a snap in adapter for my HTC Desire but can't find any they have them for the iphones. :-(

I have done more research online and it appears that the MediaBridge will support an Android device (streaming through the BT option) and will also charge the phone through the USB port... Am I correct??? I am tempted to try this with BSW (they have a moneyback guarentee.... it's worth a shot, right?)

Verizon has their own generic vehicle mount, but I'm sure the Ipod integration kits look and perform much better...

But with BT streaming you have to use your phone to select music. On my Z4 there is a aux in socket that I can use.
Just need something that you can control tracks from the headunit or steering wheel controls

The MediaBridge 1500 supports Android very well. Aside from the obvious aux input you can use, the A2DP streaming will allow you to "skip" Pandora songs as well as voice dial from your steering wheel. You will not be able to switch Pandora stations, the artist info will not display, and remember A2DP quality is good (I'm very happy with it) but it's not for audiophiles!
