Too good to be true?

Wow!

CP600 BMW

This is EXACTLY what I've been looking for. A direct replacement for the CD changer that can read an SD card, show the ID3 track info on my MK4 Nav system, and needs no 'soundlink' adapter boxes (or similar) which in my experience were very unreliable with the Alpine CHAS634 I used before.

So what's the catch? Its a great price too. Only prob is that they only offer shipping to Germany, but e-bay sellers will ship overseas
Any suggestions guys?

Cheers, Kev.

Why not just buy one from an ebay seller that ships to the UK?

Like the idea though - shame it doesn't have a HD inbuilt too....

True, but 64Gb is enough music for me to take on the road

If I need more, another I'll keep a spare SD in the car.

For me its a better solution as HDs are prone to weather/shock etc.

I've got a dension ICE kicking around somewhere that never worked and I ended up ripping it out and stamping on it in frustration. They had me adding files to the root foler to set the volume, another one to enable ID3, one more for AUX GW, wtf!!!!! and i paid £200 for this crap.

Hopefully this won't turn out to be the same - ie. great promises/expectations but a lousy product.

Any feedback guys?

Hmmm.... both look too similar to the rubbish I bought from Dension before.... Or have they improved. Still having to hack cables, swap pins, add mp3 config files etc. ?

They are both plug and play. All these things have their foibles, some are buggy, others are slow. I doubt the thing you are considering will be faultless too. There are many threads about the more popular units for you to read up on the personalities of them
