Dice MB 1500 not responding

For the most part I am happy with my MB1500, but sometimes I am not able to get into mediabridge mode. Car sometimes doesn't recognize that the MB is even attached. I then have to go to the trunk of my X5, unplug both 3 and 6 pin connectors and reconnect for it to work. I’ve seen other people online have similar issues. Is there a reason why and is there a fix?

I think it's the design bugs. I got that all the time in my M3.....but i guess it's a little price to pay to have all that bouns features.

I've never had those issues with mine. Have you updated the firmware? There have been a couple new ones in the past month, though I'm not sure they will help with your issue.

I just bought mine and installed it last week. I have this problem. Before I installed it, I tried to update the FW. But the utility said I had the latest FW. Anyone know what the problem is?

My firmware is current as well. Seems this is a common bug w the MB 1500 - many others on this board and other bimmer forums report same issues

I had the same thing happen on mine yesterday. It did show CDC as available mode when flipping through radio, cd and cdc. But it did not connect to mediabridge. IPod did show Dice on the screen. Unplugging and replugging the device fixed it.

We have two keys to the car and yesterday we used the other key for the first time after installing Mediabridge. This was the only thing different from other days.

I dont think it's the key. It's really just one of the bugs the MB 1500 has. I spoke to Dice the other day and they told me X5's shouldnt be havig this issue (although mine is X5) Nonetheless, the just release a new firmware update to help address this issue. Latest update should be 4631. I havent done it yet but probably will this weekend

I think it is a bug as well. This happens with mine from time to time. Some times it works flawlessly and other times it doesn't even show up.

I've updated their firmware everytime a new one is available and I have not had a problem yet. Not saying that's true for everyone, but they've been good for me.
