DICE Mediabridge issue-haven't sen this one discussed anywhere else...

I've read through a million posts about the DICE products, and I'm not finding an answer to this one....

2004 X5, no NAV, no CD changer, no DSP (although I DO have factory subs, but no DSP controls anywhere....). Business radio/CD with MID control.

Got a Mediabridge w/Bluetooth for Christmas. Installed it, and it recognizes my iPod, links up via Bluetooth and sees my music off my phone, steering wheel controls all work, display on the MID shows song titles in USB and Bluetooth modes, but I have no audio. During the install, I plugged in to the 6 pin and 3 pin connectors in the driver's side rear compartment with no issue. Talked to DICE today, and they had me check for an audio signal at the 6 pin connector coming out of the DICE module (the one that plugs in to the factory harness), and I've got signal there, which means that the DICE module is getting audio from the iPod and phone and sending it back to the 6 pin connector in their harness. The factory 6 pin connector only has 3 wires coming out of it (which is weird-there should be at least 4), and I traced those wires back up to the dash-they plug into my Business CD player.

What am I missing here? Based on all the pictures I've seen of installs on this, I've got the right connector going back up to the dash, but is it supposed to plug into the CD player?

Additional info after messing with this thing for a week....he system recognizes that SOMETHING is plugged into the CD changer input-prior to the install, the "mode" button only toggled between the radio and the in-dash CD player, and now when I toggle through, it tries to show the CD changer, then flips over to the Mediabridge display (iPod song titles or my BT connection), so at least that part of it is working right.

I still get NO audio in any Mediabridge mode. Even turning the iPod up all the way, turning the MB setting to 4 or 5, and turning the CD 53 up as far as I can does nothing-I don't even get any electrical noise.....just dead quiet.

I've got signal at the plug that plugs into the back of my CD53. When I test at pins 8 or 9 and pin 2 on the plug that goes into the back of the CD53, there is signal, and, according to the schematic for the CD53, those are the right pins to have signal going to for the CD changer input to the CD53. I'm using an earbud cut off of an old pair of headphones, with stripped ends soldered down to prevent unraveling, and I get music through the earbud on both channels.

Does the input signal need to be a certain voltage for the CD53 to pass it through to the amplifier? That's about the only answer I can come up with at this point...maybe the signal is too weak, and the CD53 just isn't seeing enough of a signal to trigger the passthrough. What would the normal output voltage be on a CD changer?

Or maybe I'm freaking crazy...grasping at straws trying to make this thing work for a week will do that to you.

I messed with that plug, and there's no way to put it in upside down or put it on the wrong sets of pins at the back of the CD53. That was the suggestion DICE gave me when I called them and asked what to do next.

Supposedly they're sending me a replacement MB module and wiring harness...at least that 's what they said a week and a half ago. I still don't have it.

I'm getting less and less impressed with them on a daily basis.
