front L tweeter problem

hey guys my drivers door tweeter makes a gshhhhhhhhhhh noise, WHITE NOISE like the noise from the TV when the screen goes fuzzy black n white

it will stop making that noise when u turn the volume nob all the way down, if u press the volume button the turn the music off, the white noise stays there

i have an 04 4.8is with DSP/NAVI

this happens less when it is above 25 degrees Celcius

I would bet it is a bad amp. Usually when you have a single channel failure, it indicates an amp problem. It could also be the speaker, but the fact that it makes some sound probably means that the speaker itself is working.

It sounds like an amplifier failure to me as well, but I would inspect the speaker to insure it's not the issue first. If it does turn out to be a failed amp I have new DSP amps for the E53 available HERE.
