Ice>Link installed in armrest cell phone slot

I was all set to install my ice>link in the storage bin under the armrest but I did not want to loose the storage space.. particularly for extra CDs. I decided to try to find a spot on the upper tray of the armrest. As it turns our the wired cell phone slot gets replaced with a little bin when the car has bluetooth. It was easy to pop out and could be easily replaced if I did not like the location. After a little massaging with the band saw I was able to get it to fit very nicely. I have not routed the wire yet but I believe I can remove the factory cell phone wiring from the hinge (factory hinge is hollow with a place for the wire) and use that to route the cable to the console. That will be a project for next weekend...

Does the 5G iPod fit the holder OK?

I've just bought the same iPod but have been told that it is too small for the Dension holder as the video iPod is thinner than 4G

That is the video 60 GB in the picture, denison provides some rubber pads to hold thinner Ipods tighter. I had them in but removed them once I mounted it as shown. The sides of the denison provide enough resistance that they were no longer needed.

I installed a Kuda (www.kudausa.com) and then ran the wire into the gear shift/console cavity.
