2005 X5 4.8is (E53) iphone connection...

Hi Guys...

Please forgive me - I am 2 weeks new to my X5 4.8is (E53) and your forum has been a phenomenally educational resource for me so far (you showed me where my Pass Key for bluetooth is on the BT Module).

I have done a few searches on the forum but there is so much information and I am so electronically challenged that I cannot find what I am looking for. I want the iPhone (5 hopefully) connection / adapter for my X5 with NAV / CD Changer / DSP / Bluetooth module. I have been researching for weeks - have not found what I think would work (they all say "no DSP" (?)

I just need links to installs / products / companies / etc...anyone I can contact offline would also be great.

Please jump in. Love this forum.

~ Joey

UPDATE = SUCCESS STORY!!!

I installed the DICE Mediabridge today:

DICE MediaBridge BMW iPod / iPhone / Satellite / Bluetooth / USB Integration Kit | BSW

They post excellent install videos - this one will show you how to figure out if your system is DSP or non-DSP:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YwXasAY6xAU

So, I pulled the plugs on my useless CD Changer and plugged in the MB cable, connected the MB unit and the USB to my iPhone5 = WOO-HOO!! PLUG & PLAY!! I control the iPhone music through my steering wheel. The hardest part was running the cables from the rear left quarter panel to the center console but BSW has GREAT install vids on YouTube...works 100% and took about an hour!! My personal advice = GET A GOOD PLASTIC MOLDING REMOVAL TOOL SET so you don't scratch up car parts removing molding. I bought this one for $21.88 (best move I ever made for the BMW - use it for everything):

Amazon.com: Astro Pneumatic 4524 Auto Fastener and Molding Removal Tool Set, 11-Piece: Home Improvement

Now the Iphone5 is rockin' the X5!! I mounted it on a sturdy suction mount on the windshield just to the upper right of the steering wheel and I now have a full touch screen interface for my music, phone, maps, etc. Bluetooth fades music for the call and brings it back when you are done. Love it.

Anyone need any help / questions answered, hit me!

Cheers

Joey
