How to go from DSP to only BM24

I have search the forum and find some that have manage this but i dont kno how to do it.

My problem is that my DSP is dead do to water in trunk

http://www.xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-foru...radio-lcm.html

So is it possible to downgrade and use only the BM24 as my amp?
This is how it works in cars with standard stereo or?

So please any info how to do it or what is needed please let me know. Would be great to have the car back to normal and have some sound in the speakers ASAP.

if i understand these right i have front speakers conected to the radio does these go to the dsp att the moment or?

So if i pin out on speakers from the dsp contact in to the radio module i should get sound from speakers?

ex 1 and 8 lh front speaker

see BaSo.no - Baardsen Software for pin outs

It is possible, but it would be moderate work and you would have to buy crossovers. These are the four challenges to address...

1) All of the cars speakers terminate at the three DSP amp plugs.
2) The radio only feeds front channel audio to the DSP amp
3) The car has 14 speakers with no crossovers
4) The speakers are designed for an amp with much more power than the radio amp

First, you will need to run the rear channel audio lines to the DSP amp area. Then you will need to decide which of the speakers you will drive with the radio. My suggestion is just 8. Then you will need to buy or make crossovers for the speakers you choose. Finally, you will need to split the radio outputs, wire them through the crossovers and then splice the crossover outputs into the individual speaker runs.

You should be able to see wiring diagrams for this on a WDS DVD. check out the wiring for DSP and non DSP and you may get some idea of what you are up against to make the change.
