X5 2008 amplifier swap? Is it plug and play?

Hi all,

Having a problem with my 08 x5 voice command, PDC, and nav audio output. Dealer has diagnosed a bad amplifier (I do have dsp too).

If I swap the amp out for a new one, does it need to be 'reprogrammed' somehow by BMW?

Or if I plug in a working amp, should I instantly see the audio return to those functions?

Thanks in advance, just trying to understand if this can be an easy swap out fix on my end.
