V26 & Europe 2006-1

Hello Folks,

I do have a 3 series running V26 (SW 4-1/60) and EU 2005-2.
I found the new dvd map EU 2006-1 but it has a different tree-structure and it is not recognized as valid map dvd.

It seems that this new map dvd works on latest 3 series only equipped with series 5 nav style (wide 16:9). Here the nav offer also new functionalities like birdview feature.

I read that a v27 upgrade may appear in future. Do you think that such upgrade will permit to use on "old" 3 series the 2006-1 dvd maps ?

Do you think that BMW is going to release proper 2006-1 dvd maps for "old" 3 series ?

Thank you,
Cheers !

Currently, the DVD map for the newer style E90 3-series and E60 5-series is NOT compatible with the X5 Nav unit. Those are two different NAVIGATION system. I don't know if V27 would fix that or not. I don't know if there will be a newer EU 2006 map disk.

In the United States, we just got the 2005-2 North America Map. I have not heard of a 2006 version DVD MAP for the US X5 yet.
