I have just purchased a 2005 x3 with no navigational system, any suggestions on whether to go genuine bmw or do tom tom or garmin do the job. Do they fit in the console above the dash.

I am pretty sure the tom tom unit will fit on the compartment, as far a OEM it will def. cost you more.

I've posted elsewhere that the TomTom GO 700 is a very impressive system. If you end up going for an aftermarket, it should be strongly considered. www.TomTomGo.com. The Bluetooth handsfree @ Traffic updates are the strong differentiators VS. Garmin etc.
Good Luck. Mindfull |
