Editing splash screen on V26 for Mk3 sat nav!

Hi All,

Such an amazing job was done with the project to edit the splash screens on the V26 software for MkIV sat navs (I've got a nice new logo in my M3 now), does anyone want to test out edited splash screens for Mk3 sat navs?

I've found the screens, but haven't had the guts to actually change and test the modified files on my Mk3 sat nav in my 318i..

In the original V26 ISO, the BMW splash screen is in the following locations:

Mk3\0103\BMWC01S\app_sw\usw_load

Mk3\0116\BMWC01S\app_sw\usw_load

Mk3\0127\BMWC01S\app_sw\usw_load

I'm not sure what the 0103, 0116, and 0127 directories are, maybe different car types? But the GIF extractor written by 2wires that has been used to extract and replace the splash screen for MkIV sat navs seems to be able to load these files, and show the splash screen..

Anyone want to try their hand at changing the splash screen on a Mk3?

According to another post it should be possible. I have a MkIV but I did do this in the /0103/ directory as per the directions in the post. It was tested in a MkIII, but did not work.

Has anybody got anywhere with this??? Any updates?
