Navi system for BMWs

Hi guys
Are all BMWs sharing the same OS and CDs or DVD disk? Am I safe to use CD from 3 or 5 or 7 series on my X5? Thanks
BTW, I have 2005-2 DVD disk that I dont use. Drop me a PM if you need it.
