MKIV nav position indicator getting itself lost
I have just upgraded my Nav Computer from a MKIII to a MKIV and when driving around the position indicator on the map will be accurate but then as i approach a junction or roundabout it seems to shoot ahead by 50 yards or so and lose itself for a while so if i turn left it will carry on for a while then turn left and "drive" across parallel to where i am but not on the road. Then it wakes up again and all is well. This was not a problem when i was using the MKIII computer. Has anyone had this problem and has anyone got any ideas as to what problem is. John |

In the top right corner of your nav screen does the GPS box show a bunch of green dots?
Did you check the GPS antenna connection on the back of the MkIV to be sure it is making solid contact?

In addition to what Jeff said.. go into the service mode, in settings and then in hold down menu until service mode comes up (about 8 seconds). go into sensor check and with that screen up go for a quick drive and make sure that the wheel speed sensor is reading something. also check to make sure that the gyrometre is also showing something and the numbers are moving around when you turn left and right. Just wait
I had this happen twice with two different replacement MK4s they seem to need 40 miles or so to synchronise fully with their location
