Are you able to activate birdview in pointing north and traveling direction mode, or does switching on perspective mode always take you back to traveling direction?

As for the other problem with X5 no longer being listed correctly (now showing 7 series and no data) I'm pretty sure that problem existed before. V27 is a regular update and it shouldn't switch the country coding. If I recall well, this "recoding needed" issue only started with V26.09A. Have you been using that version (09A)?
