No more TMC? Arg, why? BMW did not wanted to pay the licence anymore?
See you, Thomas

TMC works fine for me with V28.

The PDF applies to BMW North America cars only. In the US, we never had TMC as an option.
However, apparently, BMW is finally releasing TMC for the 2007 BMW model years. Quote:

While not exactly an enhancement in V28, "Disable Icons" now reads "Hide Icons" under Travel Information.

Good catch. I knew there was something different under the "Travel Information" menu....aha..."Hide Icons" makes more sense.

Not sure if this is a "new" feature of v28 or not, but certainly didn't work on my X3 before I installed the V27 -> v28 update:
When following directions (dest guide), the display at the bottom of the speedo displays the yards to next junction / intersection as I approach : 250, 200, 100, 80, 70 etc etc mirroring the info in the CID. This appears to work only when the computer is set to show remaining range on the clock display. No units (Uk would be yards) are displayed. This is a useful feature on the X3 when the flip up monitor is stowed / off but dest guidance is active. Anyone else seen this - was it always there but missed ? |
