I've read that people lose street names below a certain elevation (or maybe it's above - but whatever). However, I don't get street names at all. Is this normal?
Also, I can't get out of Perspective mode. I can turn it off in the diagnostic menu, but it doesn't turn off.

None in perspective...
..on my X3...but they return if I leave perspective and pick either direction of travel or pointing north modes at both 400 & 800 feet sizes.
Try using the direction menu setting and choosing "Direction of Travel." On mine the display pans as goes in and out of perspective...looks cool (but otherwise useless). |

Thanks
Changing from Perspective to Direction of Travel gets street names back at some elevations. I just can't believe that street names are completely missing from Perspective.

I agree...
I agree...it's too bad there isn't a setting for detail like there is on a Garmin.
Or that the split display doesn't show the upcoming street name (again, like Garmin does). Maybe in the next version! |
