Couple weeks ago, I updated OS from V25.1 to V27 with MKIV successfully. I got the same problem as JV which the CD version 25.1 stucking in the NAV and screeen was black while trying to downgrade from V27 to V25.1 before upgrade back up with V27 flashing logo. This CD with V25.1 was used to update my NAV OS previously. Need help!

1. How do I eject the CD?
2. Should I use the V27 CD to update NAV OS again?
3 Will my NAV OS wiped out?

Thanks,

Tips to eject CD:

1. hold down the eject button and wait while you hear the cd trying to read (I think I heard it do this about 4 times) keep your finger on the eject button the whole time and once you hear the nav unit stop trying to read the disk (about 1.5 - 2 min) let go of the eject button and press it again quickly and the disk pops out.

or 2. Remove power from the nav drive (pull fuses, disconnect battery, or remove connectors from back of nav drive - your choice) and then reapply power while holding down the eject button on the nav drive

Yes, go ahead and run a Nav OS update again. Try your V27 disk.

This was the only option that would work for me with my stuck update CD - I tried option 2 about 10 times and could never get it to work - 1st time I tried option 2, it worked and the CD popped out. I was on the verge of ripping the top of the Mk4 too! Glad I didn't have to as it's still under warranty!
