Replacing Broken Nav Machine best way?

Ive got a replacement nav machine coming as mine was diagnosed as being faulty by the stealer just wondering whats the best way to install it? should remove fuses 7 & 41 i think (E46 coupe) and or disconnect the battery?

Look in the right rear compartment for the fuses that are for the nav system. If you want to be completely safe, pull fuses 72 and 73 first.

Me personally, I've taken my nav drive out dozens of times without ever removing a fuse and have never had an issue. Do so at your own risk, however.
