2007.2 Professional Europe ENG.LSC file help please!

Hi, I've read through all the instructions for the past 2006.1,2006.2,2007.1 that I can find on here but can't find much info on the 2007.2 professional europe disc. I've created all files that I need except I'm unsure on how to edit the 2007.2 eng.lsc file as it has alot more sections than the 2007.1 file that I'm comparing it to that I found on here. The other thing I've noticed is all the icon files are now in gif format not png - will I need to convert this or will it still work?
Thanks for any help!
Mike

Welcome to the forum mate.

You will need to add lines to the file,

0101.idx and 010.url are the converted database files, get them from PocketGPSworld you will need to convert them with POIconverter and asc2mk4_prof.exe, to convert them to the correct format.

BTW you dont need to convert any of the image files they will all be viewed without problems.

If you need anymore help get in touch

Hope this helps.

Thanks very much for that, I'm nearly there, my first attempt has got the speed camera menu but returns nothing, but I've noticed that I've named the idx file with the url name and vise versa so just got to wait for my second attempt to burn!

Use a dvd-rw, that way you cut down on coasters

The idx and url files should be numbers (just to follow the convetion).

Thats what made me notice I had the url numbered as the idx and vise versa. Correct this though and still don't get any cameras in my list, I must be doing something wrong when converting the speed camera files. I downloaded the latest from pocketgpsworld and downloaded the other asc format one which gave me a newpocketgps_uk_sc.asc so I think thats ok. My idx file is 472kb and my url is 766kb if that sheds any light onto what I may be doing wrong!

Right I'm certain I'm doing something wrong with the speed camera database conversion - I've tried the two ways I can find the first is the perl script from http://www.bmwnavaddpoi.co.uk/default.htm and the second is the asc2idxurl_mk4.exe cmd program.

Both return exactly the same idx file but the url files are different

the perl script returns the following for the url

Code:
CATURL-eng/sf_9000.htm__

the asc2idxurl_mk4.exe returns the following for the url

This one looks correct to me, you need to change the name in the top of the file to the same as what you have used for the SF and ST names, eg SF_cameras.html (not SF_9000.html as in the idx and url files).

It sounds like you have the menu, but no cameras, tis is due to the IDX database not being accessed, via the SF_cameras.html file.

hope this helps

For what mate, I'll assume you mean Speed cameras.

I thinks it's because your eng.lsc is for the 2007-2 HIGH map disc. To mod your map disc for speed cameras add the following (in bold) to the headers in the eng.lsc file.

You will need to create the camera index files yourself (pocketgpsworld) has the database, (which you will need to convert).

Text in red are files that are needed. (see zip)

#TPD-GRP <group-id> <category-id/another group-id>
TPD-GRP 70 104 40002 40001 750 7522 5540 7897

#TPD-CAT <cat-id> <is-a-group> <category text>
TPD-CAT 104 N UK Speed Cameras

#ICONDSC <category-id> <data-tree>
ICONDSC 104 G508-G524-S024/ICONS/RR/POI_CAMERA.PNG+G539-I0+G523-I2+G522-I1+G521-I2!
ICONDSC 104 G508-G524-S028/ICONS/NAVI0X/POI_CAMERA.PNG+G539-I1+G523-I2+G522-I1+G521-I2!

#TPD-SEA <category-id> <search form file>
TPD-SEA 104 http://tpdhost/cgi/form?templ=/ENG/SE/SF_CAMERASUK.HTM&UNIT=%23%23U

#TPD-SEV <category> <key>=<value>?<key>=<value>?...
# CAMERAUK
TPD-SEV 104 INDEX_TABLE=ENG/TABLES/0/0081.IDX?URL_TABLE=ENG/TABLES/0/0082.URL

All you need now is to modd your eng.lsc (with the above) file, then

Camera_splash.jpg goes in "/TPD/ICONS"
eng.lsc goes in "/TPD/nccBeuFNM_eu_20070302/ENG"
poi_camera.png goes in both the "/TPD/nccBeuFNM_eu_20070302/ICONS/RR" and "/TPD/nccBeuFNM_eu_20070302/ICONS/Naviox" dirs,
ST & SF htm files go in the "/TPD/nccBeuFNM_eu_20070302/ENG/SE"
0081.idx and 0082.url go in the "/TPD/nccBeuFNM_eu_20070302/ENG/TABLES/0"

Just drag and drop, and confirm overwrite for the eng.lsc file.

You will need, 2 applications, ImgBurn and UltraIso (you can use others, but this is what I use)

UltraIso, to open the ios image and modd with speed cameras (drag n drop the files).
ImgBurn to burn the new modded image back to a dvd.

Hope this helps

Link: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=9MIRLYAW

Note to Mods, the zip contains no copywrite files.

Zip contains, the 2x HTM files for speed cameras, 1x camera.png and 1x camera_splash.jpg
