Here's the problem. There are two different versions of the Navteq DVD for BMW's. One is for vehicles with the i-Bus (such as the X5) and the other is for vehicles with the CANBUS (such as the new 5 series). You should send one back and get the right one for the X5.

Please ask your question in one spot.

Thanks for all your help... YES, NAVTEQ screwed up and sent me the wrong disk. The new X5 takes a Different disk than other new BMW's. It uses a "HIGH" version, NOT the "PROFESSIONAL" version. It has a blue background, not green. NAVTEQ admitted their error, and are sending me the correct disk.

Unreal...after ordering a 2005-2 Disc for my 2005 X5 and making sure to let them know about which of the 2 discs I needed (as per this thread), they still sent me the wrong dang disc (the green DVD-CCC disc). It doesn't work of course.

I'll phone Navteq tomorrow and get them to send me the OTHER disc.

John...did they make you send them back the wrong disc??
