navigation in NYC
I'm having a weird problem with my MK3 unit. Whenever I enter NY, NY or Manhattan, NY, NY for the city, it will not allow me to select a street, that will just be grayed out. It works fine when navigating in Brooklyn. I haven't tried other locations yet. Anyone have any idea of what it can be?

honestly i dont know. someone copied it and passed it along to me. however, i do see streets and road names when i drive in manhattan.

sounds to me like you have a really old nav disk that doesn't have the latest updates.

maybe, but it doesnt make sense because i can see the streets when i drive through the city, but it just wont let me navigate to a street. i can't find my damn nav manual, anything in there that i dont know?

without knowing the version of the disk it's really hard to help diagnose the problem

It's possible that the street is under a different city name, I've come accross this in the UK.

When you are at a place you can't find, try memorising the vehicle position, then pick the address from the address book and see what it says!

well the problem is that i can't select a street at all. that option is grayed out.

Most likey cause?? old disk that doesn't have the information.
