XFive3.0 is on a distinguished road
Newbie here: Sirius Radio for NAV 2001 X5

What exactly do I need to do in order to hook up Sirius to my Nav. Where can I buy it and how much will it cost me?

Thanks for any help.

If you want to go the OEM route then you'll need to upgrade your satnav radio module with a 2004 or newer unit. Crevier had these a few months back for around $350. See http://bimmer.roadfly.org/bmw/forums...6382073-1.html

In addition, you'll need an adaptor harness to convert your round-pin radio module connections to the newer flat-pin style. And finally you'll need to buy the BMW Sirius retrofit kit. See http://www.xoutpost.com/articles.php?...icle&artid=197 for a sample install.

If you want to go aftermarket then you'll need to pick up some sort of auxilary input kit from a company such as Blitzsafe or Soundgate.
