Agree, it sucks. There's no copy protection on the current software update or map DVDs*, so there's no technical reason for using the proprietary MDF format instead of the industry standard ISO (which every good burner supports).
This software is someone's favourite, and for some reason it's become so entrenched that many people now believe incorrectly that other burners such as Nero can't be used.
You might have noticed that I've re-posted the last few software updates in ISO format, but please folks, save us all the trouble and post any CD or DVD images in
ISO format. That way everyone doesn't have to buy the same software as you...
