Ok, this is probably a silly question but I have not had the car long and this is driving me nuts.

I have the sat nav, bluetooth and bmw assist. I want the car to show the sat nav by default when I turn it on.

For reasons I dont understand (but suspect are linked to bluetooth or bmw assist) it nearly allways shows a screen releated to the phone saying 'emergency' and 'call'. However sometimes it does actually remember the last setting (this has nothing to do with time that the car is switched off).


The phone is a Blackberry and it seems to work fine, even downloading my most recently dialed numbers to the car. It does not matter if the phone is in range or switched off - I just get what seem to be random results.

Ideas?

I may ask this is a seperate thread but how do you turn assist off?
