IPOD in X5

Hi,

i installed the original IPOD interface from BMW in a X5 3.0D 2005.

It works fine, but he doesn't give me the titels in the monitor. Just cdc 1-38....

The radio is an BM54 11/05. Must this be an Radio with newer software? Or must i programm the IPOD on an other way?

thanks. Appy

The BMW kit for non iDrive vehicles does not give any text on the head unit, it is only for control.

Any experienced installer can perform the install for you. On the X5 - anyone can have the device plugged into the CD Changer connections in seconds.

The BMW version will not give any text display - even worse, it disables the display on the iPod also. We have had quite a few people have the BMW kits uninstalled and go the DICE route.
