Then again, I guess these measures are necessary when trying to stay one step ahead of your bad reputation and the law...
I beg your pardon.... I have always given 100% customer service & hours of my time for advice to people. I take extreme offence with your comment about my "bad reputation" & challenge you to provide a single instance of bad service. You have slandered me & I don't take that lightly. You had better back your comments up with FACTS or lose all credibility on this forum. I have supplied many forum members with software & NEVER received adverse comments. You appear to be a bitter & sanctimonious little soul. - Does nobody like you? Does your wife (or male partner!) & kids hate you? I understand why........

I don't "stay one step ahead of the law" as my DVD maps are unique, with UK & Euro Speed Cameras added as POI's.

You, I regretfully have to say, appear to be a troll that lurks in this forum purely to cause mayhem - I've read your many pointless replies. - You rarely post anything useful but are happy to shoot other people down! Now go and crawl under the doormat.

Does anyone understand this statement? How is the law and content of the DVD relevant? They maybe unique, but their sale in not original form is still against the law

Odia.

Thanks for the clarification.

Is this version the 'High' derivative?

Storline,
Simply use poiedit to convert them to the file format you want, including the idx needed to make a modified DVD. http://www.poiedit.com/
Enjoy !

No, but you can open the "asc" files and save again as "asc", and then use the other thing to convert to IDX.

I don't know exactly what changes on the "asc" file - saves at the beginning of the file, spaces vs. tabs, dunno - but it solved my issue.

I've genererated my own asc files by just concatenating [lon, lat, "description"] and then converted into IDX. All points were miles away from the real position. Then I've used PoiEdit to convert from my "asc" to its own "asc", and now the POIs are ok.

The download from <no links to download software allowed-ekaz> works perfectly (november 2006) and contains all Western Europe in high resolution, version "2007-1". Following download (4GB!) the file unzips using WinRAR to a socalled "image"-file which is then burned using appropriate software (f.x. ImgBurn) to a blank recordable DVD media. The media operates with the Mark IV system used in f.x. X5 or E46 (3'er) series.
