2004 X5
The Dealer says my 2004 HAS the GPS (My vehicle has BMW Assist) and Bluetooth to boot!. The bluetooth module is installed on the top of the rear quarter panel rack (and they supplied the pin). I pressed the assist by accident (well curisoity) and the Lat and Lon appeared on the radio before it dialed the BMW Assist operator. Since the car seems to be "prepped" for NAV, are there any special things I should know? I'm ready to buy a MKIV unit with the cable and all, but don't know if I need the cable. Any suggestions or resources I should look for? Thanks, Corey |

See my post here - http://www.xoutpost.com/showpost.php?p=17923&postcount=2
The only modification I'd make to my post is that you may (emphasize may) not need the GPS antenna. But I'm pretty sure you are still going to need the nav harness run in the vehicle, which will require the gutting of the interior.

Harness availability
Does anyone know of a place to get the harness. I have not seen any on Ebay for 2 weeks.
