With a laptop computer, a hardware interface to the I-Bus in your car and some specific software. Read from the first post in this thread for details.

Does it look like individuals here are on the way to developing an app that can set car/key memory?

What kind of serial cable do I need between the laptop and the I-Bus interface?
Should it be straight, i.e. pin 1 to pin 1, pin 2 to pin 2, and so on .. or should it be crossed over as when used to connect two computers together?
Thanks

Thank you ekonet. That is then why it did not work. I will try the direct serial cable.

tugpilot,
Do not spend a penny on that. It is all a matter of touching some keys in your system. You should be able to do it yourself.
