I have tried with the sw v.21.1 and v.24, I have not tried with the 17.1 but you/he/she should be the same thing...
I have burnt the cd with ImgBurn to 4x to 2x, then I have also tried with clone cd.
The cd immediately spits him/it appeno I insert him/it!
Does thing recommend me to do?

I have tried but the v17 cannot be modified because the pc not the lex, says that it is in unknown format.

I can explain you the right thing to do in our language...and you can find lot of posts about this trouble...

Anyway... V17.1 sw version seems to be the best version to resume dead navi...download it and burn with Imgburn as explained some posts above...

Folks - Does anyone know how to burn one of the CloneCD Nav v22 links provided in this thread - in Mode 2? Using CloneCD to burn, I can't see this option..

you can't do this with CCD...you must convert V22 to mode2 using another program...I don't remember the name right now...ask KiwiJochen

Once converted you can burn it with ImgBurn as well...maybe then best choice...

I burned it using CloneCD and have fixed my problem

I wanted to update because my system never worked when the air was cold. BMW told me this would be cured by an update in firmware. Does anyone else know about this? I hope it's fixed that.

Whitch file to change to get it to show 3/1-64, or could you maybe share yours

I found a thread describing how to update my MK3 to V26. It even included CD Key image since I was starting from V16. That cdkey is not working and the nav computer is stuck on a screen that says "Insert cdkey or version 17" I have tried downloading V17.1 that is offered earlier in this thread as well with no luck. Within seconds of inserting the CD it is spit back out and nothing happens. I noticed when burning the V17.1 CD or the CD Key images with either CloneCD or IMGBurn and trying to verify the resulting CD with IMGBurn the CD show to be written in Mode2/Form2 instead of Mode2/Form1. Beforing the burn, the image files are shown to be Mode2/Form1 (as required for mk3) and I cannot find a setting to change this, but for some reason they always come out in form2 and are not recognized by the mk3. However, when I burn V26 image file to a CD it comes out as Mode2/Form1. Could it be the actaul image file? I noticed in post #14 there is mention of using a custom altered software to change the TOC but I couldnt figure out how to do that. If anyone has experience with this I would greatly appreciate it!
