Hi all, this is gonna be long. I recently purchased my 01 X5 and it came with MKIII SATNAV, but no CD.

I bought a CD from the local BMW Distributor. Version 2007/1. Here comes the irratating part of it.

I tried to key in some destinations of my town, like the CITY, Name of Road, but I can never seem to find the name of the road that I want to go to. I thought maybe that my CD did not have the road name inserted, so I just traveled there without the aid of my SATNAV.

But when I am approaching my destination and I zoomed the Route Map, I see all the roads clearly marked out. Howcome I was not able to select the road when I was told to key in during the Input Destination part?

Does this system only realizes Major Roads or Places of Attractions so it can work? Minor roads, or places of no value does not seem to be able to Input during Destination planning i.e. the name of the road cannot be imputed as the alphabets do not highlight or chooses to autofill a road name that I am not interested in, but when we get closer to the location, I can see the road names clearly defined on the screen. Is there something I am missing?
