Please help me Codeing a LandRover MK3 to BMW

Hi,
First: my english isn't so good.

I`m a new member. @Appy and I are members in the german 7er Forum (www.7-forum.com)
I come from germany and have a big problem with my MK3.

It is from an LandRover and it should work on my e38
I code the mk3 with NavCoder.
After codeing - the mk3 need a update cd.
The V28 and other V21,22... doesn't work.

I read in the x5world forum that the LandRover has a other software. It is true?

Can anyone help me?

THX
Steffen

Hi Steffen, welcome to the forum,

the LandRover does have its own version of the firmware and I think thats it also locked, try an older version of the firmware (v17) and see if this fixes your problem.

But I think that you may need the LandRover firmware disc (if they do one).

hope this helps.

That isn't good

Tormorrow i'll try the V17

It is possible to send the mk3 to VDO/Siemens (Producer from the mk3 the firm is not far away from me) to programm it to BMW???

In the forum is a RR CloneCD Image but they don't work.
The mk3 show the message: "Ungültige CD im Laufwerke" in englisch bad disc in mk3

So were you able to code the mk3 to BMW firmware? If so how did you go about it? Thanks so much for any information. I am in the same dillemma.

i tried a few tricks but had no success myself.

I believe it is firmware-locked, so I think the software in the EEPROM needs changing

If you have an original Range Rover nav, and you want to sell it, PM me - I know a guy who wants a few genuine Rover nav units.
